File based Installation of IT Exam
1.copy exam folder into the corresponding user's home.
2.Application-system tool-root terminal Issue the command
gedit(space)/etc/apt/sources.list
3.edit the sourcelist
add aline ie deb(space)file:///home/Username(corresponding username)/itexam-debs(space)./
4.check the source list contains aline like this cdrom itexam if it is there delete the line and save the source list close the source list
5.open root terminal issue the command apt-get(space)update press enter button. exit from the root terminal
6. open synaptic package manager and search itexam-mark for installation -apply-ok
Networksharing in School Linux
1. Create a new user-Set the username and password as "Share" , Set all user privilages
2. logout the current user
3.login as share
4. open share's home and create folder Eg: SYS1,SYS2,SYS3 etc
5.logout share
6. login in any user and set the network connection ie [ desktop-administration-networking ethernet connection- properties - static IP address]
7. go to another system and set the network
8. places-connect to server { Service type :SSH Server : Systems IP Address(system to be connected) Port : Folder : /home/share Username : share Name to use for connection : share}
